Carmarthenshire

Welcome to Carmarthenshire's page on the Disability Sport Wales Website.

My name is Lisa Pudner. Disability Sport Wales Development Officer for Carmarthenshire.I competed in the Sydney 2000 Paralympics in powerlifting. I am based at Llanelli Leisure Centre, Park Crescent Llanelli.Within Carmarthenshire there are currently existing clubs and provisions offering a variety of sporting activities for people with disabilities, ranging from athletics, archery, canoeing, karate, table tennis to tennis.

If you are a coach or volunteer there is also the UK Disability Inclusion Training Course (UK DIT) ,also there are Active Kids for All courses for teaching staff , this is a 6 hour theory and practical these courses run are several times over the year so please contact me for upcoming dates.

In order to help support clubs to deliver good quality sessions Disability Sport Wales have introduced insport. insport is a four tiered (Ribbon, Bronze, Silver and Gold) identification and accrediataion process which any sports club can go through to show they are committed to providing and delivering inclusive sport. If you are a mainstream club providing inclusive sport already or would like to please contact me. Look out for the insport logo to that highlights some of the most inclusive sports clubs across Wales.

Thanks

Lisa
