National Lottery
Sport Wales are the main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Assembly Government and are responsible for distributing funds from the National Lottery to sport in Wales. Sport Wales distribute Lottery funding to the Disability Sport Wales Community Programme.
The main focus of this funding is to provide opportunities for people with a disability to take part in sport in their local authority whether young or old. We hope to provide the right environment and encouragement for individuals to improve their health and fitness by taking part in sport in local clubs.

The Disability Sport Wales National Community Development Programme is a joint initiative between Disability Sport Wales, Sport Wales, the and the 22 local authorities across Wales. The scheme is aimed at developing quality community based sporting and recreational opportunities for disabled people throughout Wales.
