The DSW Approach: A Commitment to Diversity

DSW is committed to transforming lives, and one of our priorities is to deliver equity and promote equality through our work and partnerships. 

 

DSW consider diversity to be about recognising, respecting and valuing different experiences, perceptions, cultures, lifestyles and approaches based on membership to groups who share protected characteristics (including race; ethnicity; religion, faith or belief; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; impairment; marital status; parental status; age; political affiliation; and first language).  Diversity in workforce, leadership team (including Board), and membership is essential to DSWs success as a creative, innovative, dynamic and inclusive organisation.  Valuing diversity enables discussion and development within DSW through opportunities to bring differing life experiences, challenges, philosophies, and approaches to the table, so as to solve problems, identify projects, and generally to do things better.

 

In valuing diversity DSW are much more likely to be equitable.
