Why did you get involved with the Get Out Get Active (GOGA) program?

Being able to make a difference and help others have fun through being active is really rewarding! I have volunteered with outdoor charities such as the RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) and the RNLI and love being outdoors in my free time!

What is the focus for GOGA Pembrokeshire?

The GOGA project in Pembrokeshire focuses on encouraging young people (disabled and non-disabled) to have fun in outdoor activities together. It also provides opportunities for volunteering and community engagement with local and national organizations’.

The location of Pembrokeshire provides a great backdrop for outdoor activities. It provides amazing opportunities for fun activities using both the land and sea!

Who can get involved with GOGA?

Anybody can! (disabled or non-disabled) The project allows people to be active together!

Participants:

We welcome you to come and try fun and inclusive outdoor activities! It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done activity before! It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, make friends or bring friends and family to join in with you!

Volunteers:

There are plenty of rewarding things to get involved with, sometimes being able to do further learning courses as well. Plus, volunteering looks great on a CV!
