Disability: No Obstacle

Children from across Neath Port Talbot proved that disability is no barrier when it comes to taking part in sport and active living. They put their skills to the test during a week long festival of sport at Margam Park.

The event was organised by Neath Port Talbot Council’s Physical Activity and Sports Service ( PASS) and sponsored by Admiral Insurance.

Hundreds of youngsters took part in sports and activities, including archery, canoeing, climbing, shooting, football, horse riding and rugby.

The Council’s Disability Sport Wales development officer, Victoria Radmore said: "The aim of this initiative is to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to experience a range of fun, challenging and adventurous activities during the school summer holidays. Cabinet member for Community and leisure services Councillor Colin Morgan said

"This is a fantastic event that raises the confidence and self-esteem of the children enabling them to explore and develop their skills while testing their developmental, team building and social skills"
