Disability Sport Wales Child Welfare and Safeguarding Toolkit

Disability Sport Wales have recently updated, and re-worked their Child Welfare and Safeguarding Policy, and reformatted it so that it can be used as a toolkit.
We have had great feedback from colleagues within the NSPCC, and we are also just about to submit for Level 2 of the Safeguarding Standard, so we have some really useful comments; BUT the purpose of the toolkit is to ensure that you (the DSW membership) have confidence in their awareness of Child Welfare and Safeguarding processes, easy access to resources which will support you in your role, and ensure that there is a culture in DSW where good practice exists and all children and young people are happy and safe. Therefore we would very much appreciate your comments about whether you think the toolkit does a good job.
Please have a look at the toolkit, and then complete the survey to give us your feedback about the content, format and whether you think this will ensure (disability) sport through DSW is safe and fun for all children and young people involved.

The Cynnig Cymraeg (Welsh Offer) is the official recognition of the Welsh Language Commissioner and is given to organisations that have supported the Commissioner’s long-term plan to ensure people can use the Welsh language in all aspects of their lives, in all parts of Wales. The Light colour mode is designed using Disability Sport Wales brand colours, to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AA. This should provide good contrast for most users.
The Dark colour mode is intended for people who dislike bright screens, or wish to use their display in a more energy-efficient way. This option does not meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AA, so may not be suitable for users with visual impairments.
The Calm colour mode uses colours which may be more suitable for users who are sensitive to bright colours, or prefer lower contrast. This option does not meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AA, so may not be suitable for users with visual impairments.
The High Contrast option is tailored to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AAA, and is intended to make this website as accessible as possible to users with the lowest visual acuity. Ideal use of this setting would be combined with Medium Text or Large Text text sizes.

Our default button style uses block-colour backgrounds that contrast against the page background.
