Disability Sports Development Officer (closing date: 30/09/16)
£13,148 - £15,072 per annum. The City and County of Swansea and Disability Sport Cymru are looking to appoint a part-time (21 hour) Disability Sports Development Officer to work as part of the sport and health section within the local authority.
The post holder will lead on the development and implementation of disability sport within Swansea and contribute toward the national aims of the Disability Sport Cymru scheme. The officer will be expected to facilitate a broad range of sporting and physical activity opportunities which reflect and meet the needs of the range of impairments and abilities within the County.
The successful applicant will have proven experience of working with disabled people in a voluntary or professional capacity, preferably in a sporting environment, as well as experience in a sport or community development role.
The appointment is until 31 March 2019 in the first instance, thereafter subject to continuation of funding.

The Light colour mode is designed using Disability Sport Wales brand colours, to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AA. This should provide good contrast for most users.
The Dark colour mode is intended for people who dislike bright screens, or wish to use their display in a more energy-efficient way. This option does not meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AA, so may not be suitable for users with visual impairments.
The Calm colour mode uses colours which may be more suitable for users who are sensitive to bright colours, or prefer lower contrast. This option does not meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AA, so may not be suitable for users with visual impairments.
The High Contrast option is tailored to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidance Level AAA, and is intended to make this website as accessible as possible to users with the lowest visual acuity. Ideal use of this setting would be combined with Medium Text or Large Text text sizes.
