Kirstie and Catherine invitation boost

Before the 10 week indoor athletics initiative between Disability Sport Wales and Llanelli Athletic Club has finished, Kirstie and Catherine Field have been invited to join the Club’s outdoor session on a Tuesday night at their Sebonheath training ground.

Under the guidance of coach Beth Jones they took part in their first session last Tuesday (13. 11.07) although it was cold the girls soon warmed up in a joint warm up session followed by a Field session, shot , discus and javelin.

Beth said "She has been impressed by the girls commitment and has noticed how their co-ordination has improved over the weeks at the indoor sessions. Therefore had no hesitation in inviting Kirstie and Catherine to join Llanelli Athletics Club."

Lisa Pudner Disability Sport Wales Development Officer said "I am delighted for Kirstie and Catherine that the club has recognised their hard work. Sport opens a lot of doors for people with disabilities."
