In light of the changes being enforced from Monday 22nd June here is some useful information:

The First Minister for Wales, Mark Drakeford has announced some changes which will have an effect on some sport, for some people.

Non-professional elite Para athletes

DSW Performance Pathway Team have been working closely alongside National Governing Bodies in conjunction with Welsh Sports Association, Sport Wales and Commonwealth Games Wales to ensure elite Para athletes return to training with their health and safety being the priority in all decision making.  If your sport, or you are not in the first phase of return to training please be patient, be ready and be safe in the meantime.  We are working together to ensure everyone remains safe.

Outdoor Courts (non-contact, individual sports)

Some outdoor courts and spaces for sport will be re-opened as from the 22nd June.  Please see this link for further information: https://gov.wales/sport-recreation-and-leisure-guidance-phased-return-html#section-44234

DSW welcome the decision to allow elite athletes to return to training, and make available outdoor courts where safe to do so.  We recognise that this won’t apply to everyone right now, we must ensure that the welfare of all individuals involved are considered and applied alongside Welsh Government Guidance; please be patient, be ready and stay safe.
