The Rev. Malcolm C.G. Lane, Provincial Grand Master of Monmouthshire Masons together with Provincial Grand Secretary Brian P. Davies visited the Wales National Velodrome, Newport on Saturday 7th June 2014 to present a tricycle to Neil Smith, Disability Sport Wales Paracycling Coach.

Disability Sport Wales was set up in the 1980’s and has generated numerous competitors and world record holders as the organisation has developed together with it’s athletes.

The tricycle was provided by the Roderick Hill Lodge of Freemasons in Chepstow and representative Vince White also attended the presentation.

Neil Smith said “We are so grateful to Monmouthshire Masons for their generosity, a tricycle like this would cost us in the region of £2500 and will undoubtedly prove to be a major asset to our disabled athletes.”

The Reverend Lane commented “We make regular contributions and donations to local charities. Nationally, we are one of the largest charities in the UK and of course all our funds are raised solely by the efforts of Freemasons , enabling us to help the community at large.”
