Neath & Port Talbot Swimming Gala 2008

Neath Port Talbot Council recently organised a swimming gala for people with disabilities.

The Council’s Disability Sport Development Officer Victoria Radmore said,

"This inaugural event was sponsored by CORUS and was a great success, running in conjunction with Swansea Stingrays and WASA Officials."

There were over 115 competitors it total and a number of swimmers will represent NPT at the regional gala. Corus Community relations spokesman Keith Farron said,

"This is the second year that Corus has worked with Neath Port Talbot Physical Activity & Sport Service, and we are amazed by the number of activities undertaken in the community.

"All children should have the opportunity to take part in sport, whatever their level of ability. If we can assist in promoting these activities, then it can only be good for the local community."
