Rhys Jones won bronze in the T37 men's 100m in the Commonwealth Games at Hampden Park.

In a season's best of 12.04 seconds, Jones claimed third place in a very strong athletics field behind South Africans Fanie Van Der Merwe and  Charl Du Toit.

An ecstatic Rhys Jones said, "Any colour would've been amazing, it's a dream come true.  I'm so proud to be here with a dragon on my chest."

Earlier in the night, Tracy Hinton and guide Steffan Hughes also ran a great race with a seasons best time but finished just outside the medals in the womens 100m T12 final.

In the Lawn Bowls at Kelvingrove the para-sport triples team of Chris Gibson, David Powell and Kevin Woolmore played a close match against England losing out by 10-14. The trio will play Scotland and Malaysia in their final group matches.
