The Neath Port-Talbot‘s Welsh Wonders team which was the only Welsh entry consisted of 19 young people aged between 11 and 18 and experience a range of disabilities including visual impairment, learning and physical disabilities. There were over 200 competitors in total at the games from all over the UK.
Neath Port-Talbot’s Disability Sport Wales Development Officer Victoria Radmore said "the competition this year was very fierce the children excelled, and exceeded all expectations"
Last Year we won 106 medals (30 gold), however this year an unbelievable 130 medals (80 gold), were won.
Victoria also said "the weekly specialized coaching sessions the children receive has obviously paid dividend, all coaches and volunteers are very proud of the outstanding achievements.
The club are also very grateful for the financial assistance they have received from Admiral Insurance and Corus.
