Equestrian
Para dressage was first contested at a Paralympic Games in Atlanta 1996 and is the equestrian competition that features in a Paralympic Games.
In 2010, it was featured in the World Equestrian Games format for the first time, and the discipline now runs in a four-year cycle of Championships with European Championships in the years between the World Championships and the Paralympic Games.
There are also opportunities to get invovled with Para Showjumping and Para Driving.
Get Involved
You can get involved in equestrian through your local RDA groups and British Dressage affiliated groups and national competitions, right up to elite levels of competition.

Eligibility
To compete in para equestrian at a Paralympic Games, a person must have an eligible impairment type. The eligible impairment types are:
- Impaired muscle power
- Athetosis
- Impaired passive range of movement
- Hypertonia
- Limb deficiency
- Ataxia
- Leg length difference
- Short stature
- Vision Impairment
