UK Disability Inclusion Training

Disability Sport Wales is offers Disability Inclusion Training (DIT) courses via a mixture of online and face-to-face learning

UK DIT has been developed with Home Nations Disability Sport Organisations (HNDSO) of Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England. 

E-Learning Module

Free of Charge


This FREE e-learning module provides an introduction to inclusive practice in physical activity and sport. This course is self-paced, allowing you to complete it at a time and pace that suits you. For most people, the e-learning takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. 

  • Available in English and Welsh. All video content includes subtitles and BSL.
  • Can be completed at any convenient time
  • Developed in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport
  • Contains videos, quizzes, and a certificate is awarded at the end
  • Suitable for coaches, lead coaches, and volunteers

This is a multisport module, meaning is it designed to apply to all learners, no matter what sports they are engaged with.

We also have a limited selection of sport specific disability inclusion training which have been designed in collaborations with national governing bodies.

3 hour in-person workshop

£60 per person / £460 full course (up to 18 participants)

One is in a wheelchair and one is blindfoldedBuilding upon your learning from level 1, learners will have the opportunity to learn how to apply techniques of good inclusive practice in their own settings. Through practical activities, group discussions and tutor-led learning, you will explore how to adapt and modify sessions, communicate effectively with all your participants and overcome any potential barriers to inclusive delivery.

  • Available in English and Welsh
  • Contains discussion, reflection, practical sporting activities, and a certificate
  • Includes access to the Level 1 e-learning module

E-Learning Module

This FREE e-learning module provides an introduction to inclusive practice in physical activity and sport within a school environment. It is designed to help teacher and education staff working with disabled studens of all abilities, to deliver high quality inclusive physical education. This course is self-paced, allowing you to complete it at a time and pace that suits you. For most people, the e-learning takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. 

  • Available in English and Welsh
  • Can be completed at any convenient time
  • Developed in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport
  • Contains videos, quizzes, and a certificate is awarded at the end
  • Suitable for people providing PE and physical activity sessions in schools and other learning environments
  • Certificate awarded on completion
