On Wednesday 25th January Sport Pembrokeshire in partnership with the Federation of Disability Sport Wales (FDSW) held the Pembrokeshire schools swimming gala at Fishguard Leisure Centre, the event was sponsored by Stena Line. Over 60 pupils competed in 29 races. Chris Davis the assistant swimming development officer and head coach at the Pembrokeshire Puffins swimming club was present to spot talented swimmers; these swimmers will be invited to compete at a regional gala at Swansea on 21st April. Chris also hopes that some of the swimmers will now join the Puffins

All competitors were presented with medals by Carl Milne of Stena Line, certificates were also presented to, year 10 GCSE Physical Education pupils form Ysgol Bro Gwaun, for their time keeping duties.

Angela Miles Pembrokeshire Disability Sport Officer was very pleased with the standard of swimming at the event and would like to thank Jane Richards and staff of Fishguard Leisure Centre for all their help.
