There is an exciting new opportunity is open to both male and female volunteers and players with no prior experience necessary. The sport is aimed at wheelchair users and people with physical disabilities looking to socialise with the wider sporting family, make friends, have fun, and try something new within the Cardiff Blues Region. The club has wide ranging opportunities from supporting beginners looking for new and exciting activity, or in a competitive playing environment within a fast-paced Paralympic Sport.
In partnership with Cardiff Blues Community Foundation, Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby, The Welsh Rugby Union and Disability Sport Wales, this team is set to be a vibrant, diverse and welcoming environment.

Role Description: Volunteer Coach
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, positive person who is able to communicate effectively and create a friendly and inclusive team environment. It is important that the person is able to be adaptable and flexible in their approach and has a passion for developing individuals and a team.
Commitment: To begin, approximately 2-3 hours a week, must be able to for training sessions in the evening and in time weekends for fixtures and tournaments.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver appropriate sessions for the participants taking into account the range of physical disabilities that the team may have.
- Support the team on game days/tournaments when they arise.
- Develop the team and the individuals with in it to become better players.
- Complete relevant CPD/workshops to ensure personal development.
Cardiff Wheelchair Rugby team is a club in its infancy however, we have great ambitions to succeed and create a team that is sustainable, inclusive and competitive.

- Support the team on court when training e.g. righting the chairs, helping players with choosing an appropriate chair, possible mechanical support/chair maintenance etc.
