We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, as a band 5 Health Disability Activity Practitioner. This will be a permanent, part time position at 18.75hours. The primary base for this position will be Royal Glamorgan Hospital but there will be an expectation to move between all sites across the health board as the post requires.
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our friendly and dynamic team, committed to providing excellent care. You should be a team player who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. You will need excellent time management, observation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in achieving well being and positive health outcomes for the population we serve.
The post holder will be an active member of the Health Disability Activity National team, and Health Board area Disability Sport Wales team. You will lead the implementation of the Health Disability Activity Partnership across your Health Board area to achieve the outcomes of promoting and improving the health of disabled people through increased levels of physical activity.
A key role will be enabling a robust partnership between Health and (disability) Sport across Wales by working closely with colleagues in Disability Sport Wales (DSW), other Health Disability Activity Practitioners in Wales and the National Health Disability Activity Team Leader.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
