Sessions 13A and 13B

Building a Winning Culture of Inclusion in the Workplace + Structured Networking

This workshop aims to explore the powerful role of athlete ambassadors in championing workplace inclusion. We will delve into how their stories, values, and public platforms can inspire greater diversity, challenge biases, and create environments where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Central to the session will be the insights and lived experiences former Paralympians, who will reflect on their journeys from elite international sport to professional life. Their personal narratives will illuminate how the resilience, teamwork, adaptability, and perseverance honed through international competition can directly inform inclusive leadership and workplace culture.

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how lived experience, particularly from the world of disability sport, can enrich workplace practices and contribute to more inclusive and equitable organisations.

This will be followed by an open session enabling partners to pre-arrange networking opportunities - utilising breakout spaces within the venue.
