Quality Control and Review Cycle
All insport Standards are reviewed on a 3-year cycle by the insport Board.
The insport review process involves internal and external partner consultation. In collaboration with relevant partners, the insport aims, prompts, and supporting resources are reviewed and developed. Any changes are presented and agreed by the insport Board.
The insport Board membership consists of:
- DSW insport Senior Officer (reporting officer)
- insport Case Officers
- Sport Wales Representative
- DSW Senior Leadership Team member(s).
Meeting quarterly, the insport Board performs the following functions:
- Review cycle of programme strands
- Provides challenge and support for strategic direction of insport
- Approve or suggest changes to new or changed processes
- Strategic implementation and leadership of insport
Quality Cycle
The monitor and review process is managed through the insport Board. The insport Board reviews the content, structure, and presentation of each insport Standard, before signing off and approving any enhancements. Feedback is collated from the following sources:

insport Case Officer tracker
Feedback from the insport Board could include:
- Usefulness of associated resources and products
- Suitability of aims against the requirement of the sector.
- Evaluation of an organisation attainment against specific aims
- Opportunity to identify concerns or record praise.
- Reflection within DSW strategic planning.
Equality Impact Assessments are also undertaken for any updated versions of any insport programme strands.
